A Study in the Cultivation of a Habit

And this, my friends, was what absolutely gutted me in Reichenbach.  I was fine until that moment, at which point I must confess that I started crying quite hard.  It wasn’t the best friend’s loss that hurt.  It was that of the brother (even if he knows Sherlock isn’t dead).  That simple little gesture, that one tiny mannerism that was so much Sherlock, and Mycroft did it.  It cemented the fact that they are family, and what happened to Sherlock is probably eating Mycroft up, because he knows he’s largely to blame.

Also the fact that Mycroft didn’t show the most love towards his brother, this shows that they have more in common than they thought.
